It's in the controls panel under key bindings or something. I'm the same - Z & C is a big NONO for strafing

Played a few hours today, absolutely loving the game so far. Not going to go into details, but a few things i will say:

Interface - Not quite sure why so many were moaning about it. Apart from the fact you can only have 1 quest description viewable on screen (as far as i know), and there's not much in the way of customization - i think it's fine. The interface in AoC isn't as good as GW, but having played LOTRO as my most recent game - it's a big improvement. If i have big hotbar/skillbar icons, i'm a happy bunny.

Graphics - Awesomesauce. I'm more than pleased with the lowest graphics setting. The shadows in this game look superb - I think that's the only reason low graphics looks so good.

Quests - The cinematics when you take/hand in quests gets old pretty quick. Still, it's alot better than what standard MMO's offer.

Yeah, I was excited as crappola to go out and get the game, then(before buy, thankfully) I saw the 32GIGS of free space required! GW takes up 3, maybe. LOTRO barely breaks 6 gigs.

That, and all the horror stories of how the "recommended" graphics reqs seem to be closer to minimum reqs.... 'sigh', I'm sure the game is fantastic, but I just don't think I'm that serious into the game to get a new comp just to run it the way it should be run. What's the point in getting a game with such sweet graphics if you have to turn them down to play decently? This is gonna be one great game for serious gamers, but not for casual players. WoW and GW still hold that niche secure.

So far I have no complaints on the game aside from that it isn't as easy to tab to firefox and back again as Guild Wars is; I like to intermittently browse the Internet.

What happens for me is that it takes a couple seconds to go back to the game (settings maxed so I could probably tone down a bit of stuff for faster switch) but sometimes when I do this it will mess up the vertexes on a lot of objects and sometimes make buffs appear permanently flashing. Irritating stuff :\

Well I'm off the island and "holy crap!", what visuals I see this is out standing.

Now that I'm off Tortage I wanted to try a different class. I'm trying our a Bear Shaman, he feels like a spell casing Hammer warrior from GW. (The ULTIMATE WHAMMO!)

Also FYI, make sure you SHIFT+L so you don't screw up your skill bar when you click on your skills.

PvP - Anyone can attack you outside of safezones.

Culture PvP - You can only group with people of the same race

PvE - Can only attack people in the PvP instances.

All have access to the Border Kingdoms (where the seige PvP happens)

It's just occured to me: Did Funcom give reasons for removing so many things prior to release?

Things such as:-

- Drunken Brawling
- Camel Mount
- Bounty System

There are probably more i can't remember at the moment

I reckon all of those things would've been good additions to the game, especially bounty system for anti griefing/ganking. Just don't know why Funcom would remove them.

I was also pretty pissed when i picked up my box in a local gamestation. Play has it for like, £25. In this store it was £35! Still, i bought it - eager beaver that i am.

From what I understood, Culture PvP was set up so you could only attack others from other races, but not your own. You can still group and even be in the same guild with other races, you're just forbidden from "open PvP" with your own race.

Again, haven't played, this is just what I gathered. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Battlescar must be EU its not on my list, this game is rather demanding of my system, only so when in cities however when the processing requirements sky rocket. I'll have to upgrade over this Summer, time to start saving up.

The gameplay is fun, but the learning curve is very steep.

I caved in and ordered this

A quick question for anyone that rolled on the PvP servers.

Is it a pain to level? i.e is your progress hindered because of constantly being ganked?

They are still working on the drinking games as they are trying to make them more fun. We will get them eventually.

The Camel was listed under the bestiary on the AoC website where it said it was a ridable mount. However, under the 'mounts' page, it wasnt ever listed, only the horse, rhino and mammoth were. Therefore it was never actually intended to be in the release version of the game.

The bounty system was never officially announced, it was just a suggestion made by some people that a lot of people liked.

Leveling is easy. Ganking isn't a major issue on the noob island. You will get ganked, but just run it out.

There is already lvl80's, player cities and battle keeps.

PM'd the community manager. Depending on his reply/if he replies, I expect I'll be canceling my sub.

Why?

CE edition is suppose to include:

XP ring
Cape
Mammoth

So I entered the key, and no items. I received the Mammoth key, and that doesn't work either. Completely shocking service for a game that expects me to pay a monthly subscription.

I've heard people in game having the same problems, and i think there is a petition or something on the forums.

Did you upgrade your EA account, and then wait a few hours before trying to claim?

I went into the underhalls today (underground area of noob island). This guy entered behind me and i panicked as i was able to actually attack him lol (unlike on the rest of noob island). Killed him, think he was loading still >.> oops!

I'm having a pretty fun time playing the ranger, large variety of skills to use and most of the time I kill targets before I even get a scratch on me. They're very durable too, and can out run just about anyone else. Good well rounded class in my opinion, not many weaknesses.

Yeah done all that. I'm not a happy camper at all. I sent an email to support. Still waiting to hear back.
